Fox Run Vineyards, near Penn Yan, holds an annual garlic festival and it just happens to be this weekend! Joe and I went up yesterday and had a nice time, enjoying a perfect day and some tasty food.

Today’s travels…

The radishes and strawberries are from the Dewitt Park Tuesday farmer’s market. I must say that I paid much less for the Schuyler strawberries than I did here, but they are equally as tasty. I seem to not be able to go to the farmer’s market without coming away with some sort of radish.

The strawberries in the photo came from a roadside table under an umbrella along Route 5 in Schuyler. “They should be good - I just picked ‘em!” I bought two quarts, thinking that we wouldn’t get through them all just snacking on them, so I’d make something. Well, I never got around to making anything. [...]
