Harrison Bakery - Syracuse, NY

As we take a break from errands and the final throes of unpacking, the apple strudel (one of a selection of pastries from a white box currently in our kitchen) from Harrison’s makes me glad to be back in Syracuse.
(thank flickr and luluinnyc for the photo)

Harrison Bakery is my favorite bakery in Syracuse, the one on West Genesee, not the one out near Shoppingtown Mall. When I’m not trying to lose weight, I’m there often, and when I’m trying to lose weight (like I am now), I go there every time I pass by a plateau that’s alluded me. My favorite are the yellow cupcakes with chocolate frosting, followed closely by the halfmoons; man,… I’m salivating now!
It is a great place and I love the string dispensers there. Now that I’m back in town, I plan a full surgical inspection of all bakeries.
I’d be happy to provide company for that bakery inspection
Hmmm… maybe a Syracuse-area bakery tour for bloggers (with non-blogging baked good eaters welcomed as well)… hmmm…
Can I join in the bakery tour !?!
Well, I SUPPOSE mothers can be allowed…
Thanks for using my photo!
Harrison’s Bakery is certainly a fond memory for me of growning up in Syracuse. They used it give kids choclate chip cookies when they came in.
