Today’s Breakfast
Published June 25th, 2006 in MealsMy breakfast today, before I head off to the farmer’s market. Hopefully this will keep me from going hogwild with snacks there. Apart from steel-cut oatmeal or bran flakes, this is what my breakfast roughly looks like on most days.
- A slice of Heidelberg French Peasant bread with a little creamy peanut butter. I took the picture before I sprinkled the toast with ground flaxseed.
- Egg whites from three medium eggs, fried with a little butter. *Bonus thoughts on egg whites from Grosse Pointe Blank! [mp3 file]*
- Cut-up nectarine. Is it sacrilege to admit that I prefer things like nectarines and pears when they are crunchy and not juicy? At least, I prefer them that way when I’m eating them cut up.
