Tea Lineup!
Published June 23rd, 2006 in BeveragesClick the picture to check out the notes on the photo on my Flickr site. As you can see, I like the a variety of the good stuff, but I’m also no tea snob. Sometimes a bag will do just fine. Joe and I both have our own teapots (black and white) similar to the Beehouse ones (they probably are Beehouse). I got them when Adagio was selling them as the “Duet” teapot. The single-serve teapot they have now is a little more “Brown Betty”-looking.
I drink the Oolong #40 the most, I think, although lately I’ve been going for the ease of the Yorkshire bags. My second favorite is probably either Adagio’s Irish Breakfast or Assam Melody. I’m not as big of a drinker of green teas. Joe really liked the White Darjeeling we got at one point.
I’m also not much of a fan of flavored teas (mint and chai not withstanding). I’d rather have it just taste like tea and hence, the jasmine teas we’ve tried have tasted like soap to me and the one with ginger pieces was just blah. If I’m going to have a ginger tea, I’d rather make it myself with fresh ginger, as outlined here by Kristina.
Speaking of tea and Flickr, I need to try this Earl Grey Chiffon cake someday soon.
My final word on tea: I drink too much of it when I’m trying to work on my thesis, giving me bad cases of the TeaPees. This may be too much information, but it is definitely Tea Truth.

I love the pictures. I am not so much a tea person myself, though regular red Rose does help with migraines which seem to be a way of life in upstate.
I know migraines all too well. Unfortunately, the only thing that helps for me is a dose of Imitrex. After it’s gone though, a cup of tea is soothing and helps with the “Imitrex Haze” that always follows.
