Published June 11th, 2006 in CookbooksWhile looking through one of my mom’s older cookbooks, we found the following gems:

“Chicken Caruso”
Also, I must note that there is, indeed, a recipe for cucumber sticks that consists of, essentially “cut into sticks. serve.”

“Hot Consommé” = heat up can of consommé. serve it hot.
The best though is the Bohemian Club Dressing, which is “a favorite of men”. You can either make the recipe OR, to save time and work use bottled Thousand Island Dressing. Someday I’m going to write a cookbook… “(lengthy instructions for multi-course meal) OR go to restaurant and order similar items off menu. Saves time and need for clean-up!”

No, no. Not “a favorite of men”, it’s “a favorite with men”, in the same sense as “To Serve Man” in some cheesy sci-fi oldie.
IT’S A COOKBOOK!!!
Ha… And not just any men. Only “bohemian” men will do. Mmmm… Maynard G. Krebs dressing.
